Borr Drilling has announced new contract commitments for three of its jack-up rigs, totaling 495 days and $82.2 million in contract revenue, excluding mobilization and demobilization. Borr Drilling is an offshore drilling contractor that owns and operates a fleet of modern jack-up rigs.
BW Energy has extended the contract for the Norve by approximately two months through July 2024. Norve is a PPL Pacific Class 400 design, built by PPL Shipyard in Singapore in 2011. BW Energy is a growth-focused oil and gas company that acquires, develops and produces proven oil and gas fields in Gabon and Brazil.
The Mist has secured a contract extension from a subsidiary of Valeura Energy in Thailand. The contract extension covers a firm term of 12 months starting in direct continuation to the current contract and will maintain the rig contracted through August 2025. The Mist is a KFELS Super B Bigfoot Class jack-up rig that was built by Keppel FELS shipyard and delivered in 2013.
The Thor has received a binding Letter of Award from an undisclosed customer for work in Southeast Asia. This award will cover a firm scope of two wells, with an anticipated duration of 70 days, beginning in Q3 2024, in direct continuation of its current commitment. The Thor is a KFELS Super B Class jack-up rig that was built by Keppel FELS shipyard in Singapore, and delivered in 2019.
Following these new contracts, the Company’s fleet contract coverage is 87% for 2024, including firm commitments and priced options. This reflects the Company’s strategy of securing long-term contracts with reputable customers at attractive rates, as well as its operational excellence and high-quality assets.
